I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
